Frequently Asked Questions for Campervan Hire

To hire a CAMPERVAN you must be over 24 and have held a full driving licence for at least 3 years. You must also have had experience of manual driving. The vans are up to 7 metres long and if you have never driven a large van, we offer a driving lesson to get you familarised. But everyone can drive a camper on a standard licence. 

The simple answer is. You can travel anywhere you like. We have a mileage allowance per day on the vans and we suggest that you stop every 4 hours for a break and to stretch your legs when driving long distance. You can go as far and for as long as you wish to go. We can also help you put together your perfect adventure that works for the time you want to spend away. 

The campervans are fully off grid (apart from Miss Daisy) meaning they everything works without being hooked up to electricity. However, we ask that you book into a campsite at least once with electric hook up on stays over 3 nights as the batteries need to be regularly charged with mains power. When camping off grid, it is important to use minimal power after dusk and over night. And manage your charging of phones and laptops to daylight hours. 

Our large campervans are built for on and off off grid meaning that you don't have to connect to an electricity supply. They run off a leisure battery that is powered by solar panels and also recharges when you drive. You an only use limited strength applianced under 12v. Miss Daisy has a suitcase solar panel which you can use when you are parked up. However to maintain leisure batteries, they need to be charged by mains power regularly so we ask that you book a campsite with electric hook up once every three nights. 

Bookings work on a 24 hour basis. Collection windows are from 8-10am and 3-6pm. Returns would be during the same time as your collection window. We are happy to arrange additional time at a 50% half night rate. 

The campervans are furnished with everything you need including linen and bedding. You just need to bring personal towels, food and your personal items. If you would like us to stock anything for your trip, just ask. 

We have full breakdown cover for any eventuality. We will help you through the entire process. On booking, our insurance company takes a security deposit, acting as a excess, which you can also pay a small fee to protect. If the damage is small, then this is deducted from your deposit and the rest returned to you. 

For anything that is broken inside the van or lost you can choose to replace it yourself or we can arrange that for you, and we ask you give us as much notice as possible so that we can arrange replacements for the next hire. We understand accidents happen. 

We would love to help you arrange your adventure and put a trip planner together with you. We only charge a small fee and we take into consideration your length of trip, your passions for example, the beach, hiking, wild swimming or any beauty spots and we arrange your camping trip from places to stop at along the way, the route to drive, campsites that we love to stay in and local amenities, restaurants, farmers markets for your BBQ and picnics, and all that you might like to experience on your personalised travel adventure.
